Troubleshooting: Startup & Crashes

Step 1

Check the last 30 log lines

Open Console and read from the bottom up. Look for 'ERROR', 'Exception', 'Missing', or version mismatch warnings.

Step 2

Verify Startup variables

If you changed egg/software/version, double-check Startup variables. One wrong jar name can brick the start.

Step 3

Rollback via backup

If an update broke things: restore the last backup. Then update again step-by-step.

Step 4

Ask support the smart way

Send: what changed, the exact error lines, server type/version, and whether it worked before. That’s basically a turbo button for support.
